“The League is a useful platform for the learning and exchange of innovative ideas and leading practices among Community College leaders and practitioners. Our membership has enhanced our awareness on emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in post-secondary education and training. It has also provided us with opportunities for identifying common issues and best practices for sharing and collaboration with member colleges.”
“The League is a catalyst for innovation. League members value the ability to innovate. We know we are not alone and help is as close as a click to IStream or a telephone call to a colleague at another League school.” Blair Montgomery, President, Pierpont Community and Technical College
“The resources and collective wisdom we gain from our alliance with the League provides a springboard upon which the teaching and learning at Salt Lake Community College constantly catapults to new heights. Our students are the greatest beneficiaries of this, followed closely by our faculty and staff!”
“In an era when innovation is so essential to the economic well-being of our nation, it is essential that our community colleges strike an alliance with the League for Innovation in the Community College. The League’s conferences, projects, leadership institutes, publications, and corporate partnerships continually inspire innovation at Lorain County Community College.” |
Membership OverviewLeague Alliance membership provides everyone at your college with access to information and resources that can make a difference in the way your college functions. League Alliance iAdvantage not only provides your institution with all of the Alliance member benefits, but also includes access to the Innovation Stream (iStream). iStream is a powerful web-based professional development tool for administration, faculty, staff, and students. Membership dues are institutional and based on your college’s fall FTE (Full-Time Student Equivalent):
Beyond the United States and Canada, the League offers a hub-and-spoke framework for membership. This option offers one fee for all colleges within a region. Once the relationship has been established through a memorandum of understanding, one institution serves as the liaison for the League membership for the region. For example, the Scottish Further Education Unit serves as the liaison (hub) for its 43 community colleges (spokes).
The hub-and-spoke framework is for colleges outside of the United States only. For more information on international membership, please contact Wendy Neil, Director, Membership Services at (480) 705-8200 x234.
